Music

The music plays a vital role in making this book unique.
Language, movement, concepts about a child’s body and his world ,can be learnt so effectively through music, songs, chants and nursery rhymes.
Children have an inbuilt sense of rhythm. We can enhance this through introducing movement, songs and music activities.
Rhythm and timing are so necessary in all movement and learning, from throwing a ball, to swinging , walking, eating, to learning about numbers or crossing a road.
We have written original songs, chants, poems and finger plays to accompany the book. The 67 track C.D. is attached to the book and is inclusive with the price. It is exceptional value!
There is so much variety offered on the C.D. We have written long songs, shorter songs, lullabies or lively dancing songs. There are silly songs or chants and beautiful haunting melodies all offering a lightness and variety that can be enjoyed by young and old alike.
The variety of musical instruments and rhythms is a feature of the C.D., so your child is exposed to many different sounds, timbres and musical genre.
The lilting voice of Kate Hanratty and the beauty of her many compositions is a pleasure to listen to.
There are easy to follow instructions and ideas on how to use each of the songs chants or finger plays, listed . These follow the areas of content within the book e.g. rolling, spinning, jumping and so on.
